He passed away in Montreal on August 1, 2018, following an accident. \n\nRick is survived by his family (father, mother, sister, brother, and numerous relatives), as well as all those around the world who crossed his path and were touched by his generosity, authenticity, humor, and contagious smile.\nRick was committed to helping the underprivileged; he had made it his mission to \"give back to others.\"\n\nThere will be no public funeral service.
