Denise was the wife of the late painter Martin Gagnon. She is survived by her son Pierre as well as Daniel, for whom she was a foster mother. She also leaves to mourn her son Paul, her daughter-in-law M\u00e9lissa-Anne, and her grandchildren: Marie-Anne, Thomas Lloyd, Sophia, Christopher-Edmund, Kateri, Stella, and Karol-J\u00f3zef.   \n\nA member of a family of 9 children, her brothers and sisters were very dear to her: Fran\u00e7ois (deceased), Lucien, Rolande, Marcelle (deceased), Jacques (deceased), Ren\u00e9, Pauline (deceased), and Gilles.\n\nDenise was an extraordinary leader, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, wife, and friend. Her deep faith, her spirituality rooted in the Catholic religion, and her non-judgmental love inspired many. She was a woman of prayer and carried people in her heart.  \n\nThe funeral will take place on Saturday, October 18, at 11:00 AM at Saint-Marcel Church (see details below). The family will receive relatives and friends starting at 10:00 AM the same day at the church. A small reception will follow the Mass.
