It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear sister, Julie Ann Loken.
Julie was the daughter of the late Jim and Mildred Loken. She leaves to mourn, her sisters, Nancy Preston (Tom) and Wendy Johnston (Andrew). She was predeceased by her brother, David Loken.
She is also survived by her loving aunts, Dorothy Pequegnat and Marjorie Twa, as well as her nieces and nephews, whom she adored: Caitlin Dunne, Curtis Shellhorne, Jessica Johnston and Parker Johnston. Julie had a special and loving nickname for each of them.
Throughout her life, Julie deeply loved her many pets and was especially fond of horses from a young age. Some of her happiest times were spent working at Tic-Toc Stables and Laframboise Farm.
Julie was a brilliant artist who loved painting and drawing. The pieces she left behind will always be treasured. She had a wonderful, quirky sense of humour and was loved by many friends. A special mention goes to her dear friend, Valerey Lavergne.
The family wishes to thank Robert Jones for the care and support he provided to Julie throughout her lengthy illness.
A celebration of Julie’s life and her interment alongside her parents and brother will take place at St. Andrew’s United Cemetery in Campbell’s Bay, Quebec, on a date to be determined.
