Danielle Martel

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our sister Danielle Martel, daughter of the late Moïsette Côté and Gérard Martel, who passed away on May 31, 2024, at Saint-Vincent Hospital in Ottawa, at the age of 84 years and 9 months. She has gone to join her brother Harold. She formerly resided in Arvida, Saguenay.

She is survived by her sisters: Lise (the late Doris), Suzanne, and her brother Gérald (Charlotte); her nephews and nieces: Marc (Lise), her godson Denis (Danielle), Carl (Sarah-Lynn), Manon (Gilles), Étienne (Nancy), and Annie (Christian), as well as several great-nephews, great-nieces, relatives, and her best friends Ghislaine and Denise.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral rituals. An interment of ashes will take place at the Jonquière Cemetery on Monday, July 1, 2024. The ceremony will be held in the presence of her family and close friends.

The family will welcome you for a light meal at the Alcan Retirees’ Club hall. We will take this opportunity to share memories, laughter, and probably a few tears in her honor.
