Susie Demers

It is with immense sadness, but also with hearts full of bright memories, that we announce the passing of Susie Demers, on April 24, 2026, in Terrebonne, at the age of 65.

A woman of exemplary determination, she faced the challenges of illness throughout her life with a courage that commanded admiration. She never defined herself by her trials, but rather by her zest for life and her contagious laughter, which filled every room.

Passionate about life and its simple pleasures, she found happiness in the pages of the many books that took her on journeys, in sharing her delicious recipes, and in the care she gave to her plants, which she watched grow with tenderness.

The soothing calm of the waterfront was her place of renewal.

Her greatest legacy remains the unconditional love she had for her children and grandchildren. She will remain for us a model of resilience and joy.

She is survived by her partner, Claude Perreault, her children, Rachel Demers-Perreault (Jérémie Sonier) and Simon Demers-Perreault, as well as her grandchildren, Charles and Camille Sonier.
