Jacques Laporte

At the palliative care unit of Joliette Hospital, on May 18, 2026, Mr. Jacques Laporte passed away.

Jacques was the son of the late Doreus Laporte and the late Irma Desmarais. He was the beloved husband of Françoise Hottin.

He is survived by his daughters, Chantal and Nathalie (Pascal Olivier), his cherished son Sébastien, his grandchildren: Jordan (Mélissa), Darren (Maude), Macaulay, Alyson (Frédérik) and Zachary, his sisters and brother: the late Suzanne, the late Pierrette, the late Micheline, the late Pierre (Carmelle Sarrazin), the late Ginette (the late Yvon Savoie), Francine (Jacques St-Georges), Carmen (Michel Tessier), Alain (the late Jacynthe Rivest) and Anne.

He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Jean-Louis Hottin (Louise Mondor) and Claude Hottin (Francine Chevalier), his lifelong friend, Donel Gariépy, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

His passing leaves an immense void in the hearts of his family.
