It is with great sadness that we announce that Mrs. Ghislaine Gagné passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, at the Haut-Richelieu Hospital in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, at the age of 93.
Originally from Saint-Elzéar-de-Beauce, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Gagné and the late Fleurette Routhier. She was the wife of the late Émile Nadeau.
She is survived by her daughter Céline (Denis Bastien), her grandchildren Jacinthe (Frédérick Fink) and Rosanne (Esther Vézina), her great-grandchildren Jacob and Juliette, as well as many other relatives and friends.
She has gone to join her brothers and sisters: the late Isola (the late Jules Larochelle), the late Noëlla (the late Georges Morin), the late Florian, the late Robert, the late Clermont (Aline Pomerleau), and the late Lionel.
She also leaves to mourn her sister Jacqueline (the late Yvon Morin), her brothers Benoît (Louisette Gauvin) and Denis (Denise Leblond), her goddaughter Claire Morin (Jocelyn Vachon), as well as dear nephews and nieces.
She also leaves behind her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the Nadeau family: Simonne (the late Bertrand Perreault), Cécile (the late Paul Vachon), Gisèle (the late François Marcoux), and Réjeanne (Robert Garon). She has gone to join the late Noëlla (the late Lionel Nadeau), the late Dominique (the late Gisèle Lapalme), the late Gérard, the late Benoît (Nicole Benoît), the late Marcel, and the late Jacques.
In addition to her love for antiques, Ghislaine, a passionate florist, was an extraordinary person who brightened people’s hearts with her contagious smile. As a mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and aunt, her kindness, generosity, and joie de vivre will remain a source of inspiration that transcends time.
She leaves us a legacy of love and everlasting memories. Her generous soul will continue to inspire us every day.
