Marie-Andrée Lessard

Peacefully, as the sun rose on September 27, 2026, Marie-Andrée Lessard left to dance at the age of 81.

Marie was a devoted partner, an unwavering mother, a caring grandma, a loving sister, a wonderful aunt, and an invaluable friend. She had a deadpan wit and an exceptional sense of humour. She was an outstanding party planner and a tireless dance partner.

She leaves to mourn Réal Faix, her partner of the past 45 years; her children Éric (Sophie) and Annie (Jean-Marc); her beloved grandchildren Gabriel, Frédéric, Jérémy, Juno and Noam; her sister Madeleine; her nephews and nieces Stéphane (Josée), Martine (Richard), François (Lise) and Léo; several other family members, Isabelle, Tammy and William; and many long-time friends, not forgetting her dear friend Colette, who was always there, even during her illness.

The Earth turns more slowly without you.
