Terms of Use

Terms

By paying the invoice for a publication on the publideces.com website, a registry of obituaries in Quebec, you confirm that you are granting us the mandate to publish the obituary of the “Deceased,” as mentioned on the “invoice.” You agree to comply with the terms of use of our registry, as displayed on our website.

Provisions

The content of the obituary (including, where applicable, the photo) must comply with standards of decency and shall in no case contain defamatory, discriminatory, abusive, degrading, or other inappropriate remarks. In the event of non-compliance with this, we reserve the full discretion to remove (or, as the case may be, to refuse publication) the said notice without prior notice, compensation, or other, in addition to retaining all our rights to claim damages, as well as legal and extra-legal costs.

The said obituary will appear on our website for a minimum display period of 24 months. In no event shall PUBLIDECES.COM (directly or indirectly) be held liable for any case of force majeure as defined by the Civil Code of Quebec. For example, we cannot be held responsible for a computer problem beyond our control that would prevent the publication of the obituary, whether temporarily and/or defectively, provided that it is not attributable to gross negligence on our part.

Condolence Messages

Any hateful comment/message, defamatory, discriminatory, abusive, degrading, or other inappropriate content will be removed without notice, compensation, or other, in addition to retaining all our rights to claim damages (as well as legal and extra-legal costs) from any offending person not complying with this.

We ask you to contact us promptly should any technical issue arise (such as a problem related to the “sharing of the notice”).
