It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Serge Dionne, which occurred peacefully on September 6, at the age of 70. Beloved by his life partner Hélène Côté and adored by his children Amélie, Steve and Luc, their spouses Annie-Pier Bilodeau and Mélanie Saillant, his grandchildren Xavier, Alexandre and Kevin, his brother Paul and his spouse Élaine Gélinas, his goddaughter Julie and his niece Geneviève. He also leaves to mourn, numerous friends and members of the Dionne/Fortin family.
Born in Montreal on August 28, 1954, but raised in Rimouski (son of Alfred Dionne and Germaine Fortin), those who had the privilege of knowing Serge will remember his sense of humor and his wit, his musical ear and his unconditional love for his family.
The tributes will take place on October 27 at the Maison des Familles de Rimouski between 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM, where we will share memories, laughter and probably a few tears in his honor… although he would certainly be more in agreement with the laughter than the tears.
Rather than flowers, Serge was not a great fan of horticulture, he would have wished that donations be made to the CERVO Foundation, an organization he supported passionately.
May peace be with you
