It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Alain David, which occurred on February 18, 2026, in Saint-Jean-de-Matha, at the age of 81.
A curious and adventurous man, he practiced various sports: cycling, diving, sailing, water skiing and downhill skiing, dog sledding, and walking. A lover of French song and our great Quebec singer-songwriters, he also enjoyed drawing and was interested in genealogy.
He is survived by his two daughters: Sophie (Éric Cornellier) and Anne-Marie (Mathieu Gérin-Lajoie), as well as his grandchildren: Camille (Hamza), Fabrice (Jade), Jeanne, and Mélodie (Raphaël).
He also leaves to mourn his brothers and sister: François (France Hamel), Raymond (Micheline Morissette), Jean-René (Francine Chartrand), and Suzanne (Linda Leclair), his cousins, as well as many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (see full details below).
