Claire Grégoire

At Sacré-Cœur Hospital in Montréal, on January 24, 2026, Mrs. Claire Grégoire passed away. She was the daughter of the late Rosario Grégoire and the late Estelle Laroche, and the spouse of the late Michel Meunier.

She leaves to mourn her son, Michel Faust, as well as her sisters Madeleine (the late Marcel Parenteau) and Lucille (Gilles Thibault). She was also the sister of the late Yolande (the late Jean-Marie Le Viavant), the late Rita (Armand Fortier), the late Sister Monique Grégoire, and the late René (the late Denise Paterson Leblond).

She leaves a cherished memory to her nephews and nieces — Jean-Luc, Claude, Lucie, Julie, Yves, Dominique, Rock, Josée, Chantal, Mario and François — as well as to her many great-nephews, great-nieces, relatives and friends. She will also be greatly missed by her devoted friends, Nellie Vandal and Marlène Bouvette, as well as by her fellow residents of the Bois-de-Boulogne residence.

A woman of wit and heart, Claire was a sociable and passionate person. Keenly interested in politics, she enjoyed devoting her time to reading and travelling. She will also be remembered for her deep love of birds and cats.

Funeral details

Visitation and condolences

In accordance with Claire’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

Burial

Her ashes will be placed alongside those of her husband, Michel, at the columbarium of Saint-Patrick Cemetery in Magog
115, rue Merry Nord, Magog N (QC) J1X 2E9
