At Maison Adhémar-Dion, on March 8, 2026, passed away at the age of 80, Mr. Claude Richard, husband of the late Micheline Roy Richard.
A man of principle and character, he was known for his rigor and faithfulness to his values. A patriot, he held a deep love for Quebec, its language, its history, and its culture.
Passionate about tennis, he long found on the court a space to express his perseverance, playing to the end, despite his treatments and illness.
He leaves to mourn:
his daughter, Marie-Ève Richard (Ghyslain Hénault);
his son, Stéphane Lemire-Richard;
his grandson, Carl Richard;
his granddaughter, Tamara Richard (William L’Abbé);
his brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law:

Agathe Richard (Michel Sauvageau),
Luc Richard (Danielle Gauthier),
André Richard (Gilberte Lambert),
Pauline Richard (André Paré),
Michel Roy (Raymonde Boucher),
his dear friend, Marthe Mercier, as well as several nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
The family will welcome you on Saturday, May 16, 2026, Patriots’ Day weekend, starting at 1:00 PM, at Precious Blood Church (see below for all details).
Mr. Claude Richard will be interred at Purification Cemetery, in Repentigny, on the same day.
