Édith Sylvain

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Édith Sylvain (Labrecque) who passed away on February 26, 2024, in Gatineau, QC, at the age of 82, born on November 30, 1941, in Drummondville, QC.

Édith, our ray of sunshine! Her strength and courage, her generous spirit, her compassionate heart, and her great faith made this world a better place. We will be forever changed by the unconditional love and grace she bestowed upon her entire family, friends, and all those touched by her incredible light.

She was predeceased by her parents Rolland and Jeanette Sylvain, and her spouses Clément Labrecque and Jean-Claude Houle.

She is survived by her son Denis (Kim), her daughter Guylaine, and her late son Richard (Louise). Grandchildren: Karly (Jeremy), Steven (Lindsay), Joel (Lindsay), Carolyne (Tuan), and Eric. Great-grandchildren: Maddelyn, Carter, Hendrix, and step great-grandchildren: Faith, Lucas, Mason, Aria. Siblings: the late Lucie, Lorraine (Yvon), Jocelyne (Gaétan), Colette (Marcel), the late Alain, Carmen (Yves), Lise (Roger), Marc (Hugh). She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
