Jacqueline Lavoie

At the CHUM in Montreal, on February 10, 2026, Jacqueline Lavoie Legault Hébert passed away at the age of 90, after courageously facing a fifth cancer. She is survived by her beloved son, Walter Hébert, who was her pride and joy and her greatest support.

She also leaves to mourn her immediate family: Linda and Christian Laberge; her grandchildren Maïka, Milan, Charles, Philippe, and Étienne; as well as the Richard family, including Nathalie, Lyne, and the wonderful Sabrina, not forgetting her godsons, André and Maurice Richard. The Brady family—including Marylène, François, Françoise, and Monique—as well as several nephews and nieces will cherish precious memories of her. So many exceptional people surrounded and loved her throughout her life.

Jacqueline also leaves behind a sister of the heart, Liette Legault Proulx, as well as a faithful friend Myriam Legault and several nephews and nieces.

She joins in memory the family of her first husband, the late Gilles Legault (deceased April 18, 1965), that of her second husband, the late Lorenzo Hébert (Marie-Claude and Jennifer) (deceased July 13, 1993), the family of the late Rodrigue Bouchard (deceased November 11, 2005), as well as her final companion, Daniel Paradis.

Her smile, her generosity, and her devotion to those she loved will remain in our hearts.

A celebration in her memory will take place on May 9 (see below for full details).

I would like to warmly thank all those who helped my mother during the final years of her life, allowing her to remain at home for as long as possible. This was one of my mother’s dearest wishes and, thanks to all of you, she was able to fulfill it. A big thank you to Maïka, as well as to Marie-Christine and her many friends, not forgetting all the practitioners and the attentive staff of the CLSC d’Ahuntsic, who made this possible. We will be eternally grateful for these small gestures that mean so much.
