Louise Graton

On September 30, 2026, at the age of 87, Louise Graton passed away, wife of the late Clément Laurin.

She leaves to mourn her children, Marie-Hélène (Michel Godin) and Nicolas; her granddaughters, Clara and Adèle; her sister, Gisèle Graton (Jacques Légaré); her chosen sons, Vincent (France Beaudoin) and Benoît (Amiel Aguerre), as well as their children, Rachel, Delphine, Alexandre, Emmanuel, Olivier, Juliette, Guillaume and Théo; her sisters-in-law, Odette Tremblay and Andrée Goyer; her nephews and nieces whom she loved so dearly; as well as numerous individuals she took under her wing in her refuge home on Champagneur Street, with the nurturing care that was uniquely hers.

After teaching mathematics, she served as Director of Student Affairs at Cégep de Maisonneuve for many years. She also sat on several boards of directors of community organizations providing assistance to vulnerable individuals.

She will be remembered as a sharp-witted, unifying, loving, generous, welcoming, committed and principled woman who had the courage of her convictions.
