Lyse Couture

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lyse Couture. A multidisciplinary and visionary artist, she passed away peacefully alongside her two daughters on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

Born in Montreal on July 26, 1940, she is survived by her two daughters Marika and Katia Nelson (Daniel Drolet), her granddaughters Mia, Sandrine, and Simone, her sisters Arlette and Michelle, her niece Marilou Michon (Hugo Boutin), and many relatives and friends.

The family will receive condolences at Galerie 1040, located at 1040 Marie-Anne Street East, Montreal, on Sunday, July 14, starting at 1:00 PM. A memorial service will begin at 3:30 PM. This will be followed by a dance party to celebrate her love of life, surrounded by her works.
