Madeleine Tremblay

Madeleine Tremblay, of Chicoutimi, passed away in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu on August 16, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born on February 21, 1939, Madeleine was the beloved wife of the late Marius Fortin.

She is survived by her daughter Isabelle Fortin, her son-in-law Joël Morin, as well as her entire family, who cherish the memory of her daughter, the late Normande Simard.

She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Geneviève (Alex), Mickaël (Stéphanie), Pamela (Guillaume), Tricia (Jessica), and Jean-Nikolas, as well as her cherished great-grandchildren: William and Eva, Anna-May and Rosalie, Novalye, Noäm, and Mélodie.

She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, her cousins, her nieces and nephews, as well as many relatives and friends who had the pleasure of crossing her path.

Madeleine will be remembered for her love of family, her presence, and the precious memories she left to all who loved her. Her absence will leave a great void, but her love will continue to live on through each person she touched.

The ceremony will take place at the Chicoutimi Cathedral at a later date. Family and friends will be informed as soon as details are confirmed.
