It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Marielle Pilotte, an exceptional woman, a soul of rare gentleness imbued with kindness, dedication, grace, and compassion. Her presence, as well as the legacy of her profound values passed on to her loved ones, touched and enriched the hearts of those privileged to have known her. She passed away at the age of 90, in her home in Lévis, on October 5, 2020, surrounded by those she cherished. She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul-Émile Daigle, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage, her seven children, (the late Sylvie), Gaëtan (Wioletta Barszcz), Stéphane (Lucie Guillemette), Christine, Nathalie, Isabelle (Jacques Bibeau) and (the late Charles), as well as her 10 deeply loved grandchildren, Charles-Olivier, Samuel, Érika (Carle Larivière), Charlène (Samuel Tremblay), Pierre-Alexis, Sarah (Francesco Giordano), Cassandre, Josiane (Waleed Almaatani), Victoria (Jonathan Lavoie) and Vincent. With love and consideration, she is also survived by her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
