Réal Tremblay

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Réal Tremblay, who died on June 4, 2025, at the Pierre-Boucher Hospital in Longueuil, at the age of 78. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, to the sounds of Beethoven’s 6^th Symphony, which he had chosen himself.

Réal was a thinker. A man of a thousand trades: philosophy professor, pizza delivery man, journalist, and many others, eventually finishing his career as a director of human rights.
He was one of the most brilliant students Roméo Bouchard ever knew. A great philosopher and a person of profound sensitivity, Réal was a highly regarded colleague and boss, a loving father, and a curious, generous, and funny man. He loved to laugh—right up until his very last moments.

He is survived by his daughter Cynthia, his brothers and sisters: Jean-Yves, Pierre, Michel, Marie Sophie, and Guylaine, as well as many relatives and friends.
He joins his beloved brothers and sisters in the light: Germain, Daniel, Claude, Hélène, and Alain, whom he carries in his heart forever.

A date for the interment will be posted at a later time.
