Sylvia Trahan

On January 21, 2026, at the venerable age of 101 years and 10 months, our beloved Matriarch Sylvia Trahan passed away. She was the wife of Dalma Thibault (Val-des-Bois, QC), followed by Lorenzo David (Lac du Bonnet, MB).

She leaves to mourn her children: Sylvie (Bill), Ronald (Diane), Vincent (Brigitte), Marthe (Allen), and her daughter-in-law Suzanne. Her children Yvan and Louis have already welcomed her into their light.
Her descendants included 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her sister Gaëtane (Claude), her brother Normand (Lorraine), her sisters-in-law Laurette, Ginny, Denise, and Lizette, as well as many nephews and nieces, all important to her.
She also leaves her Manitoba family Laurent (Karen), sister-in-law Laurette, and many friends.

Mom was a sociable person, full of love and interest for everyone. She was a generous person, always welcoming, and she invites you to come say goodbye to her on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Notre Dame du Rosaire Church in Les Coteaux (see below for all details).

She invites you all to her final gathering, in the basement of Saint-Zotique Church, which will follow the religious celebration on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM, located at 1176 rue Principale, Saint-Zotique, Quebec J0P 1Z0
