It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Yves Fortin. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on February 1, 2026, in Montreal, at the age of 70.
Son of Pierre Fortin and Madeleine Fortin (Gagné), he is survived by his children: Geneviève Fortin-Lamarre (Arthur Malet), Éléonore Fortin-Rousseau, and Édouard Fortin-Rousseau (Delphine Loiselle); his grandchildren, Aldwin and Élliot; as well as his brothers, sisters-in-law, and many relatives and friends.
He will be remembered as a loving father and a loyal friend. His charisma and passion for culture left a lasting impression on all those who had the chance to know him.
