Yvette Gaudet Drapeau
It is with deep sadness, but also with immense gratitude for the moments shared, that we announce the passing of Mrs. Yvette Gaudet Drapeau on March 25, 2025. After years of battling Lewy body dementia, she has found peace and freedom.
Yvette was an exceptional woman whose kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
She leaves a great void in the hearts of those who loved her, but also a rich legacy of memories and precious lessons.
Yvette left this world as she lived in it: with grace and determination. She will remain in our hearts forever, inspiring us to live fully and with love.
Yvette is survived by her beloved children: Brigitte Drapeau and her daughters Laurie, Charlie (and her partner Guillaume), and Marianne; André Drapeau and his partner Brigitte Poirier, as well as their children Emmanuelle (and her partner Kevin, and their children Charlotte and Victor), Jean-Christophe, William, and Benjamin; Luc Drapeau and his partner Marie-Ève Francoeur, as well as their children Éliane and Léonard. She joins her beloved husband, the late Lauréat Drapeau, who passed away in 1989, and her eldest son, Marc Drapeau, who passed away in 2020.
We also note the passing of her beloved brothers and sisters: the late Marie Gaudet, Réjeanne Gaudet, and Gilles Gaudet. Alphonse McMullen, Pierre Gaudet, Marcel Gaudet, Claude Gaudet, Denise Gaudet, and Jacques Gaudet, who are still with us, are part of a large and united family; we cherish the memories of the moments shared.
We will receive your expressions of sympathy on June 7, 2025, between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Following this, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM, we will honor her with tributes.
Your presence and comforting support will be greatly appreciated.

We wish to express our gratitude to the staff at the CHUL de Sainte-Foy, as well as to the short-term geriatric unit for their unwavering support.
A special thank you is extended to the staff at the CHSLD Vigie Saint-Augustin, where she was welcomed with kindness and patience.
We also thank the CLSC de Sainte-Foy for their invaluable help, which allowed us to keep Yvette at home for as long as possible, despite the difficult moments of her illness.
