It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mr. Yvon Fortin regrets to announce his passing, which occurred on June 22, 2026, at the Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 87 years old.
Born on February 19, 1939, in Quebec City, he was the son of the late Auguste Fortin and the late Berthe Nadeau.
He leaves to mourn:
His beloved spouse, Carole Nadeau;
His children: Éric Fortin (Sandra Gravel), Denis Fortin (Jenny Gonzales), Daniel Fortin, Pascal Fortin (Karine Liola), Kevin Fortin (Anik Coulombe), and Vicky Fortin;
His stepchildren: Nathalie Ross (Michel Caron), Annie Ross (Christian Paquet), and Yan Ross (Marie-Ève Morency);
His twelve grandchildren: Rebecca Fortin, Laury Fortin, Marianne Fortin, Elsa Fortin, Cédrick Fortin, Xavier Fortin, Yohan Fortin, Zoé Fortin, Mahélie Paquet, Zack Paquet, Jonathan Ross, and Samuel Ross;
His brothers André and Jacques, his sister Lise, as well as his close friends, Rosaire Isabelle and Ghyslaine, Michel Blouin and Carole Bourassa.
He will be remembered for his funny anecdotes, his smile, his contagious humor, and his love for life, travel, and camping. He particularly enjoyed nature, flowers, gardening, and birds.
